On September 9, Yun Sun, Senior Fellow and Director of the China Program of the Stimson Center, and her delegation visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University to discuss topics such as the current situation in Northeast Asia and US-China cooperation and challenges in the region.

On June 20, a delegation of Thailand’s National Security Council (NSC) visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University. Both parties engaged in discussions on such topics as the security situation in the Asia-Pacific region, US-Thai military relations, China-US technological rivalry, and China-Thai cybersecurity cooperation.

​On June 17, 2024, a delegation of students from the University of Montana visited Tsinghua University and had dinner with students from Tsinghua University Student Association of China-U.S. People-to-people Exchange and Schwarzman scholars at the International Culture XSpace, the ground level of New Tsinghua Xuetang.

On May 13, a delegation from the Brookings Institution visited CISS. The delegation included Suzanne Maloney, Vice President of the Brookings Institution; Ryan Hass, Director of the John L. Thornton China Center; Ryan McElveen, Associate Director; Kenneth G. Lieberthal, Senior Fellow Emeritus; Patricia Kim, Fellow at the John L. Thornton China Center; Cheng Li, Founding Director of the Hong Kong University's Centre on Contemporary China and the World (CCCW); and Margaret M. Pearson, Distinguished Professor at the University of Maryland. They held discussions with Da Wei, Director of CISS, Xiao Qian and Chen Qi, Deputy Directors of CISS, Dong Ting, Sun Chenghao, and Shi Yan, Fellows of CISS. The two sides discussed topics related to China-US people-to-people exchanges.

On April 26, Aravind Yelery, Associate Professor at Centre for East Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and a group of doctoral students from the School of International Relations (SIR) of JNU visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University and discussed with XIAO Qian, Deputy Director of CISS, Fellow SHI Yan, Postdoc Fellow NIE Zhengnan and some student representatives.

On May 6, Ashley J. Tellis, Tata Chair for Strategic Affairs and Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University and discussed with CISS experts and invited scholars on China-India rivalry and regional security, etc. Professor Da Wei, Director of CISS, chaired the conference.

On April 25, David Shambaugh, Professor at George Washington University visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University, and conducted discussions with experts and invited scholars from the Centre on US-China relations, people-to-people exchanges, and other topics.

On April 9, Michael McFaul, Professor at Stanford University and Director at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, and his delegation visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University and discussed with Da Wei, Director of CISS; Li Dingxin, Research Fellow at China Center for Contemporary World Studies of the International Department, Central Committee of CPC; Liu Ying, Associate Professor at China Foreign Affairs University; Song Bo, Fellow of CISS; and some student representatives.

From early January to late March 2024, Professor Da Wei, Director of CISS of Tsinghua University, served as Visiting Scholar, China Policy Fellow, at the Walter H. Shorentein Asia-Pacific Research Center (APARC) of the Freeman Spogli Institute of International Studies (FSI) at Stanford University in the United States.

By the end of 2023, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University employed the Delphi method and the statistical analysis method for social sciences to identify and evaluate the external security risks that are projected to pose the greatest impact on China in the coming year.

On the afternoon of January 18, Paul Gewirtz, Director of the Paul Tsai China Center at Yale Law School (PTCC); and Susan Thornton, Senior Fellow of the PTCC, visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University.

On December 26, scholars from Schwarzman College visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University and had a dialogue with representatives of CISS experts, CISS Youth, and PhD students from Tsinghua University.
