On September 17, 2026, the China Forum of the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University, successfully held the 12th "China Forum - Face to Face Dialogue" exchange event. Under the theme of "Outlook on the Trump-Xi Summit: New Dynamics of China-US Interaction", participating experts focused on the core issues that might be covered in the upcoming meeting between the two heads of state, and conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges in light of the new dynamics in China-US relations.

On July 1, 2026, the Seminar on Artificial Intelligence and International Security: Risk Management and Governance of Military Artificial Intelligence was held at Mingli Building, Tsinghua University. On May 29, 2026, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University, hosted the 28th CISS StratFocus, titled "China-U.S. Relations After the Leaders' Summit." The forum was moderated by Sun Chenghao, Fellow at CISS. CISS Hosts Parallel Session at the Third World Conference of Sinologists

From June 2 to 4, 2026, the Third World Conference of Sinologists was held in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, under the theme "Drawing on the Wisdom of Chinese and Foreign Civilizations to Meet the Challenges of Our Time." The conference was jointly hosted by the China International Communications Group (CICG) and the People's Government of Gansu Province. The Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University, organized the conference's second parallel session, titled "Harmony and Coexistence: The Peaceful Gene of Chinese Civilization."

Conversation with the Leading Minds | Power, Computing, and National Strength: The Strategic Importance of Digital Infrastructure for National AI Comp

On May 25, 2026, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University, hosted a Conversation with the Leading Minds titled "Power, Computing, and National Strength: The Strategic Importance of Digital Infrastructure for National AI Competitiveness." The event featured George Chen, Distinguished Visiting Professor at Schwarzman College, Tsinghua University, and former Managing Director of Public Policy for Greater China, Mongolia, and Central Asia at Meta (Facebook), as the keynote speaker. Recently, U.S. President Donald Trump paid a state visit to China at the invitation of the Chinese side, attracting widespread attention from domestic and international media. Experts and scholars from the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University, including Da Wei, Zhou Bo, Sun Chenghao, Wen Jing, and China Forum experts Gong Jiong and Zhao Minghao, gave interviews to numerous major Chinese and international media outlets. CISS Youth

CISS Youth, a special project led by the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), is dedicated to research exchanges among young students and professionals in the field of international studies. Its members independently organize it through lectures, seminars, roundtables, and large-scale annual forums. CISS Youth aims to cultivate young students and scholars with a global and strategic vision who will emerge as active participants in the international arena. This project also serves as a referral and funding source for outstanding members to observe and speak at international forums as the voice of China, sharing its stories.

Guided by the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) and the Center for Global Competence Development at Tsinghua University, the Tsinghua University Student Association of International and Strategic Studies (SAISS) brings together students from across the university who aspire to pursue careers in diplomacy, international affairs, and global engagement. Established by the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) in collaboration with the Center for Global Competence Development at Tsinghua University, the Tsinghua University Student Association of China–U.S. People-to-People Exchange aims to promote mutual understanding and people-to-people exchanges between Chinese and American youth from a student perspective. The association encourages students to better understand China–U.S. relations through dialogue, discussion, and practical exchange activities, while providing opportunities for those with limited prior knowledge or interest in the bilateral relationship to engage with issues related to China–U.S. relations in an open and inclusive environment.
