On May 18, 2026, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University hosted the 99th session of its Strategic and Security Forum, titled “Frontier AI Risks and Governance: Space for China-U.S. Cooperation.” The seminar was moderated by Xiao Qian, Deputy Director of CISS, and brought together more than ten experts and scholars from institutions including Tsinghua University, the National Defense University of the People's Liberation Army, Beijing Normal University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and the Overseas Policy Research Center of the Alibaba Research Institute.

On the morning of May 22, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University successfully held the 91st Security and Strategy Seminar, focusing on “Maritime Security and Trans-Pacific Shipping Cooperation.” The seminar was co-organized with the National Strategy Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and was moderated by Dr. Dong Ting, Associate Research Fellow at CISS. On April 23, CISS Youth was invited to visit Schwarzman College to hold the 2nd youth dialogue with current Schwarzman scholars. Continuing the spirit of frankness, openness, and inclusiveness of the first youth dialogue in December 2023, the two sides discussed US foreign policy and its impact on China-US relations, aiming to enhance the understanding of international relations through academic exchanges and dialogues among the young scholars, especially the perception of changes and challenges of China-US relations in the current global political and economic situation. The dialogue was moderated by Sun Chenghao, Fellow of CISS, and Andrew Bilden, Scholar from Schwarzman College.
