From June 4 to 5, Sun Chenghao, Associate Fellow at the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University, participated in the 33rd Stockholm China Forum in Stockholm, Sweden. During the forum, Sun joined a panel discussion on China-U.S. artificial intelligence (AI), exchanging views with experts from Europe and the United States on AI development in China and the United States, AI governance, and prospects for international cooperation. He also engaged in multiple rounds of discussion with participants during the Q&A session.

From June 2 to 4, 2026, the Third World Conference of Sinologists was held in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, under the theme "Drawing on the Wisdom of Chinese and Foreign Civilizations to Meet the Challenges of Our Time." The conference was jointly hosted by the China International Communications Group (CICG) and the People's Government of Gansu Province. The Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University, organized the conference's second parallel session, titled "Harmony and Coexistence: The Peaceful Gene of Chinese Civilization."

From May 18 to 22, 2026, the Arms Control Negotiation Academy (ACONA) convened its annual program in Reykjavík, Iceland. Sixteen early-career scholars and policy researchers from multiple countries gathered for a series of negotiation exercises, policy discussions, and exchanges on topics including arms control, strategic stability, and artificial intelligence governance. On April 13, 2026, during the visit to Tsinghua University, Pedro Sánchez, President of the Government of Spain, attended the Seminar on China-EU Relations hosted by the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University. He held in-depth discussions with Chinese experts on the development of China-EU relations and the prospects for China-Spain cooperation amid the current international situation. The seminar was moderated by Yang Bin, Vice Chancellor of Tsinghua University Council.

On March 12, 2026, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University held a seminar titled “Recent Developments in Iran and the Trajectory of U.S.–Israel–Iran Relations.” The event brought together more than ten experts and scholars from institutions including the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the China Foreign Affairs University, Ningxia University, and other academic organizations for in-depth discussions. The seminar opened with remarks by Professor Chen Qi, Deputy Director of CISS, and was moderated by Wen Jing, Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Researcher at CISS.

On March 6, Professor Da Wei, Director of the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University, was invited to Hong Kong to attend the academic seminar titled “China' s Rising Role in International Mediation: Practice and Mechanism Innovation.”

On January 27, 2026, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University successfully held an online conference titled the “China–Kyrgyzstan International Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence Cooperation.” The dialogue, themed “Central Asian AI: Sustainable Cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan in Artificial Intelligence,” brought together experts, scholars, corporate representatives, and young researchers from both countries to discuss topics such as the development pathways of artificial intelligence in Central Asia, technological cooperation, and talent cultivation.
