​From February 8 to 12, 2026, Wu Ken, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), led a delegation to the United States, and co-hosted in New York City the Third Meeting of the China-U.S. Senior-level Track Two Dialogue with the U.S. delegation headed by Evan Greenberg, Executive Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations.

On February 4-5, 2026, the Third Responsible AI in the Military Domain Summit (REAIM Summit 2026) was held in A Coruña, Spain. The summit was jointly hosted by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence, with the Netherlands and the Republic of Korea serving as co-hosts. The event brought together government delegations from 85 countries, as well as representatives from international organizations, academia, and industry, to discuss the application and governance of artificial intelligence in the military domain.

On January 15, 2026, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University successfully hosted a book talk for U.S. Middle East Policy (2009-2017), a new monograph by Wen Jing, Postdoctoral Researcher at CISS and Director of Media and Communications for the China Forum. The event attracted more than 70 participants, including scholars, media professionals, and students.

On December 28, 2025, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University and the Center for Global Competence Development for Students (CGCD) jointly hosted the Sixth International Affairs Workshop.

On December 19, 2025, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) hosted a roundtable seminar on the situation on the Korean Peninsula. More than 20 experts and scholars from China and the Republic of Korea participated in in-depth exchanges and discussions on key issues including developments on the Korean Peninsula, security risks, and regional cooperation.

From December 4 to 5, 2025, the Seminar on the Responsible Use of Technology in Humanitarian Action was held in Beijing. The event was co-organized by the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). More than 80 experts and scholars from China, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Luxembourg, Russia, the Republic of Korea, and other countries participated in the discussions.

On November 17–18, 2025, the 6th Hong Kong U.S.-China Forum was held in Hong Kong, co-hosted by the U.S.-China Exchange Foundation and the China People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. This year’s forum, themed “Building a Circle of Peace Together,” brought together over 300 participants from the U.S., China, and other Asian countries including India, Singapore, and Bangladesh, representing political, economic, academic, technological, and educational sectors. Zhao Linghuan, Chairperson of the U.S.-China Exchange Foundation; Shen Xin, Vice President of the China People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; and Charles Balslevski, President of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, attended the opening ceremony and high-level dialogue. Chinese Ambassador to the U.S., Xie Feng, delivered a video address.

On November 10, 2025, a delegation from the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD) visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University to jointly hold the “China-Europe Strategic Dialogue.” Experts and scholars from China and Europe engaged in in-depth discussions on China-Europe relations, economic cooperation, and security issues in the context of the shifting global landscape.

From November 1 to 5, 2025, Niu Qiyang, a doctoral research fellow at the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University, was invited to participate in the 63rd Pugwash Conference on Science and World Affairs, themed “80 Years After the Atomic Bomb: The Timeliness of Peace, Dialogue, and Nuclear Disarmament.” The conference brought together over a hundred scholars and policymakers from around the world, including former Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, former Palestinian Foreign Minister Nabil Qidwa, and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

On November 13–14, Dr. Sun Chenghao, Associate Research Fellow at the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University, was invited to participate in the 32nd Stockholm China Forum held in Seoul, South Korea. As a speaker in the final session, Dr. Sun engaged with scholars from the U.S. and Europe to discuss the global order and China–U.S. relations, and responded to questions from the audience.

From October 23 to 24, 2025, Dr. Sun Chenghao, Associate Research Fellow at the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University, attended the international academic symposium “Understanding China’s Advanced Technology Export Controls” held in The Hague, the Netherlands. The conference was co-hosted by Dr. Guangyu Qiao-Franco, Assistant Professor at Radboud University, and Dr. Rogier Creemers, Assistant Professor at Leiden University.

From October 23 to 25, the 2025 Bund Summit was successfully held in Huangpu District, Shanghai, under the theme “Embracing Transformations: New Order, New Technology.” The event was co-hosted by the China Finance 40 Forum (CF40) and Tsinghua University, with the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University serving as one of the organizers.
