This special issue brings together The Politic, Yale‑DUSCR, and the Tsinghua‑University Student Association of China‑U.S. People‑to‑People Exchange to take up a shared question: how do students perceive the future of U.S.-China relations, and what is their understanding of each nation’s distinct role in the broader international community?

​On May 19, 2026, the 2026 Spring Tsinghua-Georgetown Undergraduate Dialogue concluded successfully. The event was co-hosted by the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University and the Georgetown University Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues.

At 8 a.m. Beijing time on April 19, the third and final plenary session of the 2025 “Tsinghua-Yale Youth Dialogue” officially convened. Jointly organized by the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University and the Paul Tsai China Center at Yale Law School, this dialogue series represents the third collaboration between the two institutions. Held primarily online, the event brought together 15 students each from the Department of International Relations at Tsinghua University and Yale Law School. The initiative aims to promote intellectual and academic exchanges among young people in China and the United States, and to foster a deeper understanding of U.S.-China relations.

At 8:00 a.m. Beijing time on March 29, the second plenary session of the 2025 “Tsinghua-Yale Youth Dialogue” series, co-hosted by the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University and the Paul Tsai China Center at Yale Law School, was officially held. This marks the third time that CISS and the Yale China Center have jointly organized the “Tsinghua-Yale Dialogue” series.
