On March 3, 2026, the Center for Strategy and Security (CISS) at Tsinghua University successfully held the 20th session of the CISS Talks. The event was moderated by Da Wei, Director of CISS, and featured a keynote presentation by Yang Jiemian, Chairman of the Academic Advisory Council of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), on the theme of "International Disorder and Global Governance: China's Reflections and Responsibilities." More than forty experts, scholars, and young students attended the session to participate in the discussions.

On May 13, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University held the 19th session of its CISS Talks series.

On February 24, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University hosted the 18th session of the Strategic and Security Lecture Series (CISS Talks). Fiona Cunningham, Visiting Scholar at CISS and Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania, delivered a talk on "Managing Risk: Nuclear Weapons and Great Power Competition." The event was moderated by Da Wei, Director of CISS and Professor at Tsinghua University's Department of International Relations.

On April 18, the Center for International Security and Strategy at Tsinghua University (CISS) held the 15th CISS Talks. Professor Brantly Womack, Boeing Visiting Chair in International Relations, Schwarzman College, Tsinghua University, and Senior Fellow and Emeritus Professor of foreign affairs at the Miller Center, University of Virginia, shared his views on the topic of “China in Pacific Asia and Multinodal World Order” in the lecture.

On the evening of April 21, the 10th CISS Talk and the 54th TopTalk themed “Sino-American Relations in Historical Perspective” was held at Biomedical Hall, Tsinghua University. The event featured Robert Zoellick, former president of the World Bank and former US Deputy Secretary of State, and Da Wei, director of the Center for International Security and Strategy and professor in the Department of International Relations of Tsinghua University, who also served as the moderator. The panelists engaged in an in-depth discussion with Tsinghua students on the global landscape from a historical perspective.
