From July to early August 2025, Sun Chenghao, Associate Research Fellow at the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University, was invited to undertake a short-term visiting study at the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD) in Switzerland. During his stay, he engaged in discussions with HD researchers and policy advisors on issues including international security, conflict mediation, China–U.S.–Europe relations, and artificial intelligence.

From July 3 to 7, Da Wei, Director of the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University and Professor in the Department of International Relations, visited Russia to teach at the summer school jointly attended by Chinese and Russian students, organized by the Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Russia. The theme of this year’s summer school was “Perspectives of the Global Majority: Practices and Narratives.” Da Wei delivered a special lecture titled “Multipolarity: Challenges and Opportunities” to students from both China and Russia. This marked the second consecutive year that he has taught at HSE. Following his lecture, Da Wei engaged in in-depth discussions with Russian scholars from HSE, the Russian International Affairs Council, and other institutions.

On July 17, 2025, the "Kick-off Meeting for the Transboundary Water Resources Cooperation Project and Launch Ceremony of the Lancang-Mekong Watch Website," hosted by the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University, was successfully held in Beijing, marking the official launch of the Lancang-Mekong Watch platform.

From May 26 to 27, Dr. Sun Chenghao,Fellow at the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University, visited Yonsei University in South Korea at the university’s invitation. During the visit, Dr. Sun held meetings with the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS), Underwood International College, and the Institute of China Studies at Yonsei University. He engaged in in-depth discussions with faculty and students, including Professor Kim Dongchan of GSIS and Professor Jiamin Jeon of Underwood International College, on topics such as Track II diplomacy, U.S.-China relations, artificial intelligence, and international security governance.

On May 23, Kyung-wha Kang, President and CEO of the Asia Society, visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University. She was accompanied by Qian Jing, Vice President of the Asia Society and Co-Founder and Director of the Asia Society Center on China, as well as Ma Wenxuan, Operations and Program Officer at the China Center. The two sides exchanged views on current China-U.S. relations as well as key international and regional issues.

On May 20, 2025, Ollie Shiell, CEO and Co-Founder of the UK National Committee on China (UKNCC), visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University. He held in-depth discussions with Professor Da Wei, Director of CISS and faculty member of the Department of International Relations, on China-UK relations and major global issues.

On May 17, 2025, the "Tsinghua-Penn Student Dialogue" was successfully held at the International Culture xSpace, New Tsinghua Xuetang of Tsinghua University. Co-hosted by the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University and the "Project on the Future of U.S.-China Relations" at the University of Pennsylvania, the event brought together nearly 50 student representatives from countries including China, the United States, Russia, South Korea, India, Indonesia, and Belarus.

On April 24, a delegation from the Singapore-based ADMM Cybersecurity and Information Center of Excellence (ACICE) visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including global AI governance and China-ASEAN AI cooperation. The meeting was chaired by Xiao Qian, Deputy Director of CISS and Vice Dean of the Institute of International AI Governance. Participants from CISS included Xu Weidi, former researcher at the Strategic Studies Institute of the National Defense University; Zhang Ling, former associate professor at the National Security College of the National Defense University; and Sun Chenshuo, a special expert of the China Forum.

On the morning of April 11, 2025, Richard McGregor, Senior Fellow for East Asia at the Lowy Institute, led a delegation to visit the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University. The delegation also included Sam Roggeveen, Director of the International Security Program at the Lowy Institute, and Susannah Patton, Director of the Southeast Asia Program.

On April 3, 2025, the Student Association of International Strategic Studies (SAISS) at Tsinghua University hosted a special lecture titled “Strategic Choices Amid Global Transformation: The Evolution of China-Russia Relations and Lessons from the Russia-Ukraine Conflict”. The event was supported by the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University and the Global Competence Development Guidance Center for Tsinghua Students. Dr. Song Bo, Assistant Research Fellow at CISS, delivered the lecture to over 30 faculty members and students in attendance.

On April 3, a delegation from the Brookings Institution visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University. The two sides held in-depth discussions on a range of topics, including the current international landscape, China-U.S. people-to-people exchanges, artificial intelligence, and recent U.S. tariff measures against global trade partners.

At 8:00 a.m. Beijing time on March 29, the second plenary session of the 2025 “Tsinghua-Yale Youth Dialogue” series, co-hosted by the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University and the Paul Tsai China Center at Yale Law School, was officially held. This marks the third time that CISS and the Yale China Center have jointly organized the “Tsinghua-Yale Dialogue” series.
