From July to early August 2025, Sun Chenghao, Associate Research Fellow at the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University, was invited to undertake a short-term visiting study at the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD) in Switzerland. During his stay, he engaged in discussions with HD researchers and policy advisors on issues including international security, conflict mediation, China–U.S.–Europe relations, and artificial intelligence.

From July 3 to 7, Da Wei, Director of the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University and Professor in the Department of International Relations, visited Russia to teach at the summer school jointly attended by Chinese and Russian students, organized by the Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Russia. The theme of this year’s summer school was “Perspectives of the Global Majority: Practices and Narratives.” Da Wei delivered a special lecture titled “Multipolarity: Challenges and Opportunities” to students from both China and Russia. This marked the second consecutive year that he has taught at HSE. Following his lecture, Da Wei engaged in in-depth discussions with Russian scholars from HSE, the Russian International Affairs Council, and other institutions.

During the visit, Dr. Sun held meetings with the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS), Underwood International College, and the Institute of China Studies at Yonsei University. He engaged in in-depth discussions with faculty and students, including Professor Kim Dongchan of GSIS and Professor Jiamin Jeon of Underwood International College, on topics such as Track II diplomacy, U.S.-China relations, artificial intelligence, and international security governance.

On May 23, Kyung-wha Kang, President and CEO of the Asia Society, visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University. She was accompanied by Qian Jing, Vice President of the Asia Society and Co-Founder and Director of the Asia Society Center on China, as well as Ma Wenxuan, Operations and Program Officer at the China Center. The two sides exchanged views on current China-U.S. relations as well as key international and regional issues.

On May 17, 2025, the "Tsinghua-Penn Student Dialogue" was successfully held at the International Culture xSpace, New Tsinghua Xuetang of Tsinghua University. Co-hosted by the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University and the "Project on the Future of U.S.-China Relations" at the University of Pennsylvania, the event brought together nearly 50 student representatives from countries including China, the United States, Russia, South Korea, India, Indonesia, and Belarus.

On April 24, a delegation from the Singapore-based ADMM Cybersecurity and Information Center of Excellence (ACICE) visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including global AI governance and China-ASEAN AI cooperation. The meeting was chaired by Xiao Qian, Deputy Director of CISS and Vice Dean of the Institute of International AI Governance. Participants from CISS included Xu Weidi, former researcher at the Strategic Studies Institute of the National Defense University; Zhang Ling, former associate professor at the National Security College of the National Defense University; and Sun Chenshuo, a special expert of the China Forum.
