On the morning of March 25, a delegation from the School of National Security of the People's Public Security University of China visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University.

From March 18 to 20, 2026, the 8th International Forum on Strategy and Security, organized by the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University, was held in Beijing. The forum, themed “Inflection Point:Mapping the Emerging New Global Order” invited over 60 participants from countries including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, India, Germany, Switzerland, South Korea, and Singapore. Discussions were organized around five core themes: International Order, China–U.S. Relations, a Multipolar World, the Asia-Pacific Region, and Global Agendas. The forum received support from the China–U.S. Exchange Foundation (CUSEF).

On March 12, 2026, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University held a seminar titled “Recent Developments in Iran and the Trajectory of U.S.–Israel–Iran Relations.” The event brought together more than ten experts and scholars from institutions including the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the China Foreign Affairs University, Ningxia University, and other academic organizations for in-depth discussions. The seminar opened with remarks by Professor Chen Qi, Deputy Director of CISS, and was moderated by Wen Jing, Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Researcher at CISS.

On March 6, Professor Da Wei, Director of the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University, was invited to Hong Kong to attend the academic seminar titled “China' s Rising Role in International Mediation: Practice and Mechanism Innovation.”

On January 27, 2026, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University successfully held an online conference titled the “China–Kyrgyzstan International Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence Cooperation.” The dialogue, themed “Central Asian AI: Sustainable Cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan in Artificial Intelligence,” brought together experts, scholars, corporate representatives, and young researchers from both countries to discuss topics such as the development pathways of artificial intelligence in Central Asia, technological cooperation, and talent cultivation.

​From February 8 to 12, 2026, Wu Ken, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), led a delegation to the United States, and co-hosted in New York City the Third Meeting of the China-U.S. Senior-level Track Two Dialogue with the U.S. delegation headed by Evan Greenberg, Executive Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations.

From February 11 to 12, 2026, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University and the Brookings Institution co-hosted the XIV Round of the "U.S.-China Dialogue on AI and International Security" in Munich, Germany. Over 40 members from both the Chinese and U.S. project teams attended the meeting to engage in discussions on key issues in the fields of artificial intelligence and international security.

On February 10, 2026, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University and the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD) co-hosted the 5th round of the "China-Europe Dialogue on AI and International Security" in Munich, Germany. The meeting brought together over 20 experts and scholars from Chinese and European universities, research institutions, and think tanks to engage in in-depth discussions on the security risks posed by the misuse of advanced AI by non-state actors, as well as risk mitigation strategies at the national and international levels.

On February 4-5, 2026, the Third Responsible AI in the Military Domain Summit (REAIM Summit 2026) was held in A Coruña, Spain. The summit was jointly hosted by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence, with the Netherlands and the Republic of Korea serving as co-hosts. The event brought together government delegations from 85 countries, as well as representatives from international organizations, academia, and industry, to discuss the application and governance of artificial intelligence in the military domain.

On the afternoon of January 13, a delegation from the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University. The discussion was chaired by Xiao Qian, Deputy Director of CISS. The two sides held an in-depth exchange on key issues at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, with a particular focus on the lawful and malicious uses of AI, as well as its applications in the private sector. Both sides also explored constructive avenues for cooperation in the AI–cybersecurity nexus and agreed that there is significant potential for collaboration in areas such as policy dialogue, academic research, and normative discussions.

On January 15, 2026, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University successfully hosted a book talk for U.S. Middle East Policy (2009-2017), a new monograph by Wen Jing, Postdoctoral Researcher at CISS and Director of Media and Communications for the China Forum. The event attracted more than 70 participants, including scholars, media professionals, and students.
