On April 3, a delegation from the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Cybersecurity and Information Centre of Excellence (ACICE) and the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University. The meeting was chaired by XIAO Qian, Deputy Director of CISS. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on digital issues such as cybersecurity, information security, and artificial intelligence, as well as their implications for international security.

The visiting delegation included NG Pak Shun, Director of the Policy and Strategy Office at the Singapore Ministry of Defence and Singapore’s representative on the ACICE Advisory Board; YEO Seow Peng, Executive Director of ACICE; David OOI Tian Rong, Deputy Director of ACICE; Joel CHANG, Analyst at the Cybersecurity Centre; Dennis THAM, Analyst at the Research Centre; NG Wen Kai, Staff Officer at the Ministry of Defence; Benjamin ANG, Senior Fellow, Head of Digital Impact Research (DIR), and Head of the Centre of Excellence for National Security (CENS) at RSIS; and Muhammad Faizal bin Abdul Rahman, Research Fellow with the Regional Security Architecture Programme at the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (IDSS), RSIS.
Participants from the Chinese side included ZHOU Bo, Senior Fellow at CISS and member of the China Forum Executive Committee; XU Weidi, former Research Fellow at the Institute for Strategic Studies, National Defense University; ZHANG Ling, former Associate Professor at the College of National Security, National Defense University; LI Qiang, Director of the Institute of Military Law and Associate Professor at China University of Political Science and Law; and SUN Chenghao, Associate Research Fellow at CISS.
