DA Wei and NIU Qiyang Attend the 2025 Oslo Forum

At the invitation of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD) in Switzerland, Da Wei, Director of the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University, and Niu Qiyang, PhD researcher at CISS, attended the 22nd Oslo Forum in Oslo, Norway, on June 11–12, 2025. This year’s forum was held under the theme “Cooperation in Conflict Mediation: Navigating a Changing World.”

During the forum, Da Wei spoke at the session titled “Conflict Prevention and Management in Asia” and held a dialogue with ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn.

Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, also attended this year’s Oslo Forum. He joined Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and Ukraine’s First Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzhaparova at the opening session for a high-level dialogue. Liu also delivered a keynote speech titled “A Bridge for Dialogue: China’s Role in Global Mediation and Peacebuilding” at the forum’s dedicated China session.
