CISS China Forum Holds its 2025 Year-End Forum
On January 15, 2026, China Forum of the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University successfully held its ninth "China Forum · Face to Face" Dialogue. The event focused on the release of the CISS report, 2025 PUBLIC OPINION SURVEY REPORT CHINESE OUTLOOK ON INTERNATIONAL SECURITY. Experts and scholars from The Carter Center (USA), the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and representatives from global media in China were invited to participate in in-depth discussions on the latest perceptions of the Chinese public regarding international security issues.

On December 29, the China Forum of the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University held its 2025 year-end dialogue. Focusing on the characteristics and challenges of current international communication efforts, participating experts deeply discussed the role, tasks, and innovative formats of think tanks, and offered constructive suggestions for the China Forum to further play its role as a bridge between China and the world in the new year.

Da Wei, Director of CISS and Vice Chairman of the China Forum, delivered an opening speech and introduced the aspirations of the China Forum. He emphasized that in the face of an increasingly complex global public opinion landscape, the China Forum, as a sub-brand and permanent international communication platform of CISS, will continue to build communication bridges for scholars, international institutions, and media, helping to deepen international understanding and cooperation.

The attending experts reviewed the development history and collaborative achievements of the CISS China Forum since its establishment nearly seven years ago, summarizing its experiences. They specifically noted the enthusiastic response to original segments such as the "Face to Face dialogue" and the "CISS Podcast," identifying them as key innovations for expanding dialogue channels and deepening the dissemination of topics.

The meeting was hosted by Da Wei, Director of CISS and Vice Chairman of the China Forum. Participants in the exchanges and discussions included Xiao Qian, Deputy Director of CISS and Board Member of the China Forum; Zhou Bo, Senior Research Fellow at CISS and Board Member of the China Forum; Guo Jia, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation at CISS and Director of the China Forum; Wen Jing, Postdoctoral Fellow at CISS and Director of Media Communications for the China Forum; and Qian Jiatong, Program Officer for the CISS China Forum.

Other experts attending the event included Liu Hua, Member of the Party Committee of the Xinhua News Agency Institute; Tang Xiaoyang, Professor and Chair of the Department of International Relations at Tsinghua University and a specially invited expert of the China Forum; Gong Jiong, Professor at the University of International Business and Economics and a specially invited expert of the China Forum; Lin Yuan, Deputy Director of the Global Communications Office at Tsinghua University; Zhou Mi, Deputy Director of the Americas and Oceania Institute at the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFCOM); Wang Zichen, Researcher and Director of International Communications at the Center for China and Globalization (CCG); Dong Ting, Fellow at CISS; and Song Bo,Fellow at CISS.
