On September 12, Choi Shing Kwok, Director of the Yusof Ishak Institute,ISEAS and Senior Researchers Lye Liang Fook and William Choong visited the Center for International Security and Strategy at Tsinghua University. Both sides exchanged views on think tank construction, Sino-US relations, and China-ASEAN relations.
ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute, formerly known as the National Institute of Southeast Asian Studies of Singapore, was established as an autonomous organization by an Act of Parliament in 1968. In August 2015, it was renamed in honour of Singapore's first President, Mr Yusof Ishak. The Institute now has more than 100 full-time researchers working on socio-political, security, economic development, and geostrategic studies in Southeast Asia, attracting and nurturing a community of scholars interested in the region, conducting follow-up surveys, and providing business and policy advisory services.
