【The 26th Security and Strategy Seminar】 CISS Hosts Seminar on “Peace and Development: New Connotations in a New Era”

On January 14, 2022, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University held its 26th Security and Strategy Seminar themed “Peace and Development: New Connotations in a New Era”. The meeting was moderated by CISS Director DA Wei and Deputy Director XIAO Qian.

The panelists explored topics around “peace and development” and China’s “period of strategic opportunity” and agreed that although new connotations have arisen, “peace and development” should remain the dominant theme of our time. At the same time, despite the new challenges it is facing, China is still in its “period of strategic opportunity” calling for it to continue to maximize the opportunities.
