On October 11, China Forum, Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University successfully held a dialogue exchange on "Trends and Agendas in China-Russia-US Relations." The event featured Oleg P. Ivanov, former Vice President for Research at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Professor of Political Science, alongside Xu Wenhong, Associate Research Fellow at the Institute of Russian, East European, and Central Asian Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Belt and Road Research Center. They were joined by Da Wei, Director of CISS; Song Bo, Assistant Research Fellow; and Wang Congyue, Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Research Fellow.

Together, the participants engaged in in-depth and wide-ranging discussions on topics including Russia-US relations following the Alaska Summit, the future prospects of Russia-US relations, new agendas for trilateral interactions among China, Russia, and the US, as well as regional security and strategic stability.
Experts agreed that under the current international landscape, China, Russia, and the United States, as major powers with global influence, must enhance communication, properly manage differences, and jointly explore avenues for cooperation amid competition. Russia and the US still need to actively address challenges such as a lack of strategic trust, geopolitical rivalry, and the prolonged effects of sanctions. In the trilateral interactions among China, Russia, and the US, mutual economic benefits and strategic stability must be advanced simultaneously, and major powers should avoid zero-sum games. The experts also explored the potential and challenges for future trilateral cooperation in emerging fields such as energy, artificial intelligence, and space.
