CISS Hosts Round VI of US-China AI Dialogue on Security
On April 7, 2022, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University and the Brookings Institution co-hosted the sixth round of the US-China Dialogue on AI and International Security via video link. Mme. FU Ying and Gen. John ALLEN, the Chinese and US project chairpersons, delivered remarks at the event, followed by an intensive discussion among more than 30 members of the Chinese and US project teams.

FORMER AMBASSADOR FU YING: FOND MEMORIES OF MY TIME IN BRITAIN
I served as Ambassador of China to the United Kingdom from 2007 to 2010. During my term, I took every opportunity to explore cities and places of interest, and made many friends, from colleagues in the then Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and other government departments to people from all walks of life. I enjoyed my life in Britain so much that even before my return to China in January 2010, I confessed at my farewell reception at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel that I was already missing this country.

February 21 marks the 50th anniversary of former U.S. President Richard Nixon's visit to China. Since Nixon's visit half a century ago that led to a handshake across the vast Pacific Ocean, the two countries have gradually come together based on common strategic needs, regardless of differences in ideology, and opened a new chapter of bilateral relations in the history.
