On September 3, 2024, Da Wei, Director of the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) and Professor of the Department of International Relations at Tsinghua University, was invited to Singapore to attend Lianhe Zaobao Conversations, part of the Asia Future Summit series. In this event hosted by Lianhe Zaobao, Professor Da Wei delivered a keynote speech titled “US Election and the Future of China-US Relations.”

The conversation session after the keynote speech was moderated by Han Yong Hong, Associate Editor of Lianhe Zaobao. Professor Da Wei and Tan Teck Long, Head of Global Wholesale Banking of OCBC Bank, discussed the Taiwan question, the South China Sea issue, and the China-US economic and trade relations and answered questions from the moderator and the audience.

In addition to the guest speakers, the event attracted more than 200 government and embassy representatives, business leaders, and scholars. Cao Zhongming, Chinese Ambassador to Singapore, also attended the event.
