On the afternoon of September 16, 2021, LIU Xiaoming, the Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Korean Peninsula Affairs and former Chinese Ambassador to the UK, was invited to visit the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University. CISS Deputy Director XIAO Qian, China Forum Secretary General ZHANG Lirong and China Forum Executive Committee member HAN Hua received Ambassador Liu and briefed him on the endeavors of CISS and the China Forum since their establishment in policy research, public communication, international exchanges and student education. 

In the afternoon, Ambassador Liu was invited by the Office of International Affairs of Tsinghua University to give a lecture on the theme of “How to tell China’s story well and conduct effective public diplomacy”. Sharing his expertise and experience of 47 years of diplomatic service, Ambassador Liu presented an incisive analysis on the theme from both theoretical and practical perspectives. The event was moderated by LI Jinliang, Dean of the Office of International Affairs of Tsinghua University, and attended by more than two hundred Tsinghua students and faculty members.
