In May 2026, Niu Qiyang, Doctoral Researcher at the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University, visited the United States to attend an academic workshop on managing China-U.S. nuclear risks held at Brown University. During the workshop, he delivered a presentation on “Nuclear Policy in a Multipolar World.”

During his stay in the United States, Niu Qiyang also visited the United Nations Headquarters in New York, where he met with officials from the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA). He subsequently traveled to Washington, D.C., to participate in a seminar on artificial intelligence and nuclear risks organized by the Institute for Security and Technology (IST), and visited several think tanks in Washington.
