On the afternoon of September 18, a delegation from the ISEAS–Yusof Ishak Institute of Singapore visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on topics including China-US relations, the global governance of artificial intelligence, China's relations with ASEAN countries, and the security situation in the Asia-Pacific region.

The delegation included Ng Chee Khern, Director and Chief Executive Officer of the ISEAS–Yusof Ishak Institute; William Choong, Senior Fellow and Managing Editor of Fulcrum; Joanne Lin, Senior Fellow and Coordinator of the ASEAN Studies Centre; Yi Wushuang, Wang Gungwu Visiting Fellow and Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at the Schwarzman College, Tsinghua University; and Indira Zahra Aridati, Research Officer. Zhou Bo, Research Specialist at CISS, and Guo Jia, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation, participated in the discussion.
Founded in 1968 as an autonomous research institution established by an Act of the Parliament of Singapore, the ISEAS–Yusof Ishak Institute was formerly the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies. In August 2015, it was renamed in honor of Singapore's first President, Yusof Ishak. Headquartered in Singapore, it now has more than one hundred full-time researchers. Its main research areas cover Southeast Asian society and politics, security, economic development, and geostrategy, with a focus on three domains—political and security affairs, economic development, and society and culture—and particular attention to countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Myanmar.
