DA Wei Visits Russia for Teaching and Academic Exchange

From July 3 to 7, Da Wei, Director of the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University and Professor in the Department of International Relations, visited Russia to teach at the summer school jointly attended by Chinese and Russian students, organized by the Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Russia. The theme of this year’s summer school was “Perspectives of the Global Majority: Practices and Narratives.” Da Wei delivered a special lecture titled “Multipolarity: Challenges and Opportunities” to students from both China and Russia. This marked the second consecutive year that he has taught at HSE. Following his lecture, Da Wei engaged in in-depth discussions with Russian scholars from HSE, the Russian International Affairs Council, and other institutions.

In addition, during his visit, Da Wei took the opportunity to travel to Pervomayskoye Village in the suburbs of Moscow to visit the Memorial Hall of the 6th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. He toured the historical exhibition and the preserved conference site, learning about the historical context and proceedings of the only CPC National Congress ever held outside China, and paying tribute to the revolutionary spirit of the Party’s forebears.
