Delegation from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Visits CISS

On the afternoon of June 12, a delegation from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES) visited the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University. The two sides held discussions on the latest developments in the U.S.–Iran negotiations and the security situation in the Middle East, among other issues of mutual interest.

The FES delegation included Herta Däubler-Gmelin, former Federal Minister of Justice of Germany; Gedaliah Afterman, Head of the Asia–Israel Policy Program at Reichman University (Israel); Sebastian Sons, Representative of the Berlin Office of the Center for Applied Research in Partnership with the Orient (CARPO, Germany); Hessam Habibi Doroh, Research Fellow in International Relations at the Ludovika University of Public Service (Hungary); Marcus Schneider, Director of the Middle East Peace and Security Project (Lebanon) of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation; Clemens Starke, Project Manager of the Middle East Peace and Security Project (Lebanon) of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation; Sergio Grassi, Resident Representative of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in China; and Zhou Huijing and Zhou Qizhuolan, Project Managers at the FES Beijing Office.

The Chinese participants included Zhou Bo, Senior Fellow at CISS; Wen Jing, Postdoc Fellow, at CISS; and Liu Yuan, Research Assistant at CISS.
