On March 5, 2022, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University held the 30th Security and Strategy Seminar entitled “Russia-Ukraine Conflict and the Great Power Contest.”

The event facilitated in-depth discussion on the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on the global landscape, great power competition, the international order and global nuclear arms control, as well as the changing patterns of warfare reflected in this conflict. The prospects of the conflict may have remained unclear, but regardless of how the endgame plays out, it has already hit the global order and major power relations, panelists believe.
