On September 16, 2025, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University convened the 95th session of the Strategic and Security Seminar, titled “The Development and Challenges of Intelligent Unmanned Technology Applications.” The seminar was chaired by Xiao Qian, Deputy Director of CISS and Deputy Director of the Institute for AI International Governance.
More than a dozen experts and scholars from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Beijing Normal University, China University of Political Science and Law, National University of Defense Technology, the Internet Society of China, and the China Academy of Electronics and Information Technology participated in the discussions.
The participants engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as the potential strategic value of intelligent unmanned technologies, global trends in their application, as well as China’s current progress and challenges in this field.
