At noon on December 23, Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) visited Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS). The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the current trajectory of China-Vietnam relations, the state of people-to-people diplomacy between the two countries, and potential directions for future cooperation.

The delegation of the VUFO was composed of Dong Huy Cuong, Vice President of VUFO and Head of the Delegation; Nguyen Nang Khieu, Director General of the Americas Department of VUFO; Vu Hai Dang, Senior Officer of Department for Monitoring Anti-Corruption of Wastefulness and Negativity Prevention and Control of Central Internal Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Pham My Le, Official of the Multilateral Affairs Department and Secretary of the Delegation; and Duong Kieu Trinh, Official of the Asia-Pacific Division of People’s Aid Coordinating Committee and interpreter.
The meeting was chaired by Da Wei, Director of CISS. Participants attended the meeting included Chen Qi, Deputy Director of CISS; Wang Congyue, Postdoc Fellow of CISS; Su Hao, Director of the Center for Strategic and Peace Studies and Professor at China Foreign Affairs University; and Zhou Shuai, Director of Department of Diplomacy of School of Regional and Country Studies at Beijing International Studies University.
