The participants set eyes on the just-concluded China-US Presidential meeting. The virtual summit has generated positive energy to China-US relations, Professor Da Wei said. The two leaders discussed a range of issues and reached some important consensus, which is crucial for both sides to stabilize and manage their bilateral ties. Other panelists also gave positive comments on the China-US meeting. The panel then explored the risk of a US-China military conflict and shared their insights on how to avoid and manage it.

In the Q&A session, Professor Da took questions from the Indian panelists on the Taiwan issue and China’s foreign policy, refuted some of the misconceptions about China in international public opinion and introduced China’s principled positions on these issues.
