YUE Xiaoyong was appointed and served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the State of Qatar(2007-2010); to The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan(2010-2013) and to the Republic of Ireland (2016-2019) and also served as Ambassador of MOFA for Policy Planning Affairs and Coordinating Foreign Policy Planning Dialogue for member states in The Shanghai Cooperation Organization(2014-2016),Member for the Advisory Committee on China- Arab States Expo of The NingxiaHui Autonomous Region, China(2014-now).
Ph.D for Political Science(Peking University, China).Teaching as Assistant Prof. in Wuhan University(1982-1984); Joined the Foreign Service of the Chinese Government in the end of 1984 as attaché for The Australian and New Zealand Affairs(1984-1986) in the Dept. of American and Oceania Affairs; worked in the Chinese Embassy in London as Private Secretary to the Amb. and Political Third Secretary (1986-1990); Deputy Chief for the United States Affairs in the Dept. of North Am. and Oceania Aff. of the MOFA in China, later the Chief and Counselor of the leading body in the Dept.(1990-1997); Counselor for Political Affairs and Director for the Political Office in the Chinese Embassy to the US in Washington DC(1997-2002); Deputy Director- General in the Policy Planning Dept. in MOFA (2002-2005); Director-General in the Research Office in the State Council of the People’s Republic of China(2005-2007).
