China Forum Holds 2024 End-of-Year Meeting and Seminar on International Communication

On December 20, China Forum under the Center for International Security and Strategy at Tsinghua University held its 2024 year-end meeting and seminar on international communication, bringing together over 30 experts and scholars. 

In his opening remarks, Professor Da Wei, vice chair of China Forum, applauded the organization’s commitment to telling China’s stories since its establishment, adding that it will continue to explore major international issues and promote China’s international communication efforts. 

 Guo Jia, senior project manager at China Forum, took stock of the organization’s achievements in 2024 and highlighted its blueprint for 2025. Amid complex and changing international public opinion environment, China Forum will, in the coming year, continue to focus on international communication, push for innovation and optimization in its content while keeping its characteristics, so as to empower dialogue and mutual understanding in the international community, said Guo.

In the panel discussion, the participants explored ways to strengthen international communication and the role of think tanks in the process, noting the importance of following closely on topics such as trade cooperation, green transformation and technology, and of telling China’s stories through more innovative and diversified forms of communication.
