China Forum Holds 3rd Face to Face on APEC, G20

On November 11, 2024, China Forum under the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University held the third edition of its China Forum · Face to Face series titled “APEC & G20—Shaping the Global Economic Landscape.”

Panelists explored how countries could address global economic challenges, promote the digital economy and foster growth in the Asia-Pacific region in the multilateral cooperation frameworks of APEC and the G20. They believe that, increasing uncertainties require countries to activate the full potential of the global economy through multi-sectoral cooperation, so as to empower a just world and a sustainable planet. 

Participants included John Gong, professor, University of International Business and Economics; Zhou Mi, deputy director, Institute of American and Oceania Study, Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, Ministry of Commerce; Guo Jie, associate professor, School of International Studies, Peking University; Chen Muyang, assistant professor, School of International Studies, Peking University; Ning Shengnan, associate research fellow, Department for World Economy and Development, China Institute of International Studies; Nik Gu, member, SCO Countries Youth Platform; Daniela Mora Savović, editor-in-chief, Tsinghua International Relations Review; Da Wei, director, CISS; Dong Ting, research fellow, CISS; Wen Jing, director of international communication, China Forum; Guo Jia, senior project manager, China Forum; and Qian Jiatong, assistant, China Forum.

Representatives from Bloomberg, China Global Television Network, Financial Time, The Asahi Shimbun, Associated Press, Kyodo News, National Public Radio, South China Morning Post. Kyodo News, Lianhe Zaobao, National Public Radio, South China Morning Post also attended the event.

 

The China Forum – Face to Face series aim to serve as a bridge of communication between experts, scholars and media, so that China and the rest of world can better understand each other.
