On April 13, the first International Dialogue on Stories of Global Development was held in Zunyi, Guizhou Province. The event was hosted by the China International Communications Group and the Publicity Department of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, and organized by the China Center for International Communication Development and the Publicity Department of the CPC Zunyi Municipal Committee. Wen Jing, director of international communication at China Forum, Center for International Security and Strategy, Tsinghua University, was invited to attend the event and served as the bilingual moderator of the main forum.
With the theme of “Harnessing the Power of Youth for Global Development,” the dialogue brought together more than 180 guests, including diplomatic envoys of over 20 countries, representatives of international organizations, renowned experts and scholars, corporate executives, representatives of relevant institutions, journalists and international youth leaders. The participants explored key topics such as improving global poverty reduction governance and promoting ecological development, and shared stories of promoting global development, in an effort to advance the Global Development Initiative and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The event aims to share with the world the connotations of the Chinese modernization theory and to empower the international promotion of the Global Development Initiative.
