Presenting the mission and achievements of the China Forum, Ms. Han noted that the institution has developed a unique mechanism of “think tank + international communication,” which means that it supports Chinese scholars, officials, entrepreneurs and media personalities to attend international conferences, give international interviews, publish articles in mainstream media, produce videos and podcasts, etc., as an effort to introduce China to the rest of the world and empower its discourse in the global arena.

She shared the Forum’s endeavors in telling China’s stories, and gave examples of how the institution has supported Chinese experts to participate in international forums and speak in foreign mainstream media, how to improve communication with forum organizers and editors, and how to express our views and positions in a complete yet efficient way.

The participating diplomats expressed their expectations for more constructive cooperation between the Asian Affairs Department and the China Forum to promote public diplomacy by portraying a credible, amiable and respectable China.
