ZHANG Tuosheng

ZHANG Tuosheng is also a council member of the Chinese Arms Control and Disarmament Association, a member of the Academic Committee of the Institute of Peaceful Development, CASS, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Academy of International and Strategic Studies, Peking University, and a member of the Academic Committee of Institute for Global Cooperation and Understanding, Peking University. He earned his master degree from Central Party School of the Communist Party of China in 1986. After 1979, he was a lecturer at the PLA Military Collage, a research fellow in the Institute of Strategic Studies of PLA National Defense University, and the deputy defense attache at the Chinese Embassy in the UK. From 1992-2024 he worked in the China Foundation for International and Strategic Studies and successively serve as the Director of the Research Department, the Director of the Center of Foreign Policy Studies, the Chairman of the Academic Committee and a Senior Research Fellow, CFISS.  His main research interests are China-US relations, China-Japan relations, Asia-Pacific security, security crisis management and China’ s foreign policy. He has authored or co-authored lots of research publications including papers, reports and books.
