Born in Daqing, Heilongjiang, Meng Qingyi is currently studying at the School of Public Policy and Management at Tsinghua University, with a research focus on global governance. He holds the National Legal Professional Qualification Certificate and the TEM-8 English Certificate, and has accumulated experience in think tanks, government agencies, and multinational financial institutions, as well as overseas academic training. His background spans law, international relations, and public policy.
Beyond academic research, Meng has interned at domestic think tanks, governmental bodies, and multinational financial firms, and has undertaken study visits abroad. He is currently working at Huawei’s Strategic Research Institute in Reading, UK, where he conducts research on export control policies, emerging technology governance, global supply-chain security, and technology policy trends. Within the CISS Youth platform, he will focus on the evolution of global governance mechanisms, the institutional implications of U.S.–China technological competition, and how international actors renegotiate cooperation, rivalry, and normative boundaries in an increasingly multipolar order.
