On 7-9 July, 2020, the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), a leading British think tank, held a virtual collaborative workshop on “China's Digital Expansion: The Digital Silk Road".

On June 25, 2020, Center for International Security and Strategy of Tsinghua University (CISS), China Forum, Academy of Contemporary China, and World Studies (ACCWS)and Ditchley Foundation of the UK co-hosted the closed-door webinar themed “China, Europe and their post-pandemic future”. Fu Ying, Chair of CISS, Chair of China Forum, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Jeremy Hunt, former Foreign Secretary of the UK attended the meeting.

Zhang Lirong, Secretary-General of China Forum， Tsinghua University’s Center for International Security and Strategy, participated in the online debate ‘Europe, Asia and their post-pandemic future’ hosted by Friends of Europe. He observed ‘China and EU, Asia and EU should play a bigger role on the international arena. ASEM which represents more than half of the world GDP and 60% of the world population and trade should be one of the major cornerstones of the global governance in the future.’

On June 16, 2020, HUANG Renwei, a China Forum expert, Academic Committee Member of CISS, Tsinghua University, and Executive Director of Fudan Institute for Belt and Road Governance, attended the “Asia and COVID-19” webinar held by Australian National University Crawford Leaders Forum (ASLF). The webinar was chaired by Evelyn Goh, Professor of Australian National University.

An academic webinar on US Military Operations and Situation in South China Sea, the 9th Security and Strategy Seminar, was jointly hosted by Tsinghua University’s Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), China Forum and Peking University’s Center for Maritime Strategy Studies (CMSS) on April 7th, 2020.
