Originally from Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, Deye Li is currently an undergraduate student at George Washington University majoring in international affairs and history, with research interests in security studies, strategic studies, international relations theory, and great power politics. He has translated and critiqued the works of Richard Betts, Robert Pape, and Edward Luttwak, Lawrence Freedman, Albridge Colby, Paul Musgrave, and Jeffrey Mankoff, among other prominent scholars and think tanks, for the WeChat account named "Wuyu". He is currently refining his honor thesis under Prof. Hope Harrison, "Soldiers, the city, and the state: a concise American military history of Colf War Berlin, 1960-1990.”
