Mengqing is currently an undergraduate at the Department of International Politics and Economy of Shandong University. She has been to Cornell University, Tsinghua University and Oxford University for exchange.

She pays much attention to Migration Studies (particularly refugees and forced migration studies) and AI&Global Governance. For the former, she mainly studies and conducts research at the COMPAS at Oxford University. In CISS Youth, she will focus on the latter, as well as related issues such as regional conflicts and strategic security. She is also a fellow in the US-Europe Studies Program at CISS.
