Research Center for Asia-pacific Maritime Security and Governance Studies

The Center is committed to conducting research on maritime rights and interests protection, management and control of international maritime disputes, and regional maritime cooperation and governance in China and the Asia-Pacific region. We will recruit outstanding experts from both home and abroad in the fields of international law, marine ecology, maritime military, marine economy and international relations, for the purpose of carrying out research on regional issues in the East China Sea, the South China Sea and the Taiwan Strait, where the disputes of maritime rights and interests are relatively severer, the Asia-Pacific region with serious maritime issues and the major principles of global maritime governance.

The Center will take full advantage of valuable resources in our university, actively explore cooperation channels of scientific research, and develop exchange channels with the Office of the Foreign Affairs Leading Group of the CPC Central Committee, the Office of Maritime Rights and Interests Leading Group of the CPC Central Committee, the State Oceanic Administration, the People's Liberation Army Navy and enterprises involved in marine business.
