LI Dingcheng

Li Dingcheng, from Jingzhou, Hubei Province, currently is full-time student at the Harris School of Public Policy, the University of Chicago. His research interests primarily include Comparative Political Economy and Research Methods in the Social Sciences. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at the Beijing Foreign Studies University. During his undergraduate studies, he participated in a number of research projects concentrating on Southeast Asian studies. His research interests also lead him to the real practice of policy analysis. He interned at the International Economics and Finance Institute, the Ministry of Finance of China, focusing on China-EU economic and trade relations. In addition, he embarked on learning quantitative research methods at the China Institute for Educational Finance Research, Peking University. Besides, he won the Third place in the 2020 Tsinghua SPPM International Case Analysis Competition of Public Policy on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In the CISS Youth Program, he hopes to delve into topics in the interaction of politics and economics as well as international macroeconomics.
