Fan Jiayuan was born and raised in Beijing, and is currently a master’s student in Diplomatic Studies at the School of International Studies, Peking University. His research interests focus on China’s identity in the international system. He now serves as an assistant student at the Institute of International and Strategic Studies, Peking University. Previously, he interned at the International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO, Institute for Global Cooperation and Understanding (iGCU) at Peking University and the International Political Scholar Community, while actively participated in events such as the 2024 US-China Hong Kong Forum, World Peace Forum and the Peking University Global People-to-people Exchange Forum. In the 6th cohort of CISS Youth, he serves as Director of the Organization Department.
