自2000年代以来，中非政治经济关系经历了持续快速的增长。社科学院国际关系学系教授、清华大学战略与安全研究中心中国论坛特约专家唐晓阳教授的新书《共同进化的实用主义——中非经济合作的方法和影响》研究了中国的参与是否为发展中国家提供了一个替代现有主流模式（如华盛顿共识）的范式。
清华大学战略与安全研究中心中国论坛联合社科学院国际关系学系共同举办本次读书会，唐晓阳教授将和非盟驻华大使H. E. Rahamtalla M. Osman、埃塞俄比亚驻华大使H. E. Teshome Toga Chanaka一起讨论中非合作如何能够尝试多样化的方法来促进非洲的结构转型。中国论坛执委韩桦女士将主持对话，随后唐教授和二位嘉宾将与听众进行交流问答。
China-Africa economic tie has experienced lasting rapid growth since the 2000s. Prof. Tang Xiaoyang’s new book Coevolutionary Pragmatism: Approaches and Impacts of China-Africa Economic Cooperation investigates whether Chinese engagements provide an alternative paradigm to existing mainstream models, like Washington Consensus, for developing countries. He will be joined by African ambassadors to China to discuss how China-Africa cooperation is able to experiment diverse methods to foster structural transformation in Africa. Han Hua from China Forum will moderate the conversation, which will be followed by a brief Q&A with the audience.
