From Tongling, Anhui Province, Shao Zhicheng is a PhD student in the Institute of Area Studies at Peking University. His research interests are broad, focusing on Southeast Asia, international security, and comparative politics. He is also interested in theories and methods of social science research. He has hosted and participated in provincial and ministerial level research projects on topics in Southeast Asia. In Strategic Youth, he will focus on the Sino-US strategic competition in Southeast Asia and ASEAN countries' response strategies. Outside of academic exploration, he loves traveling and photography, firmly believing that the joy of colliding minds and the beauty of documenting life are indispensable.
