Chen Baiyu is currently a Ph.D. student majoring in Computer Science and Technology at the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University. His research focuses on high-performance numerical computation for EDA, foundational theories in machine learning, and domain-specific large language models. He has received the Best Paper Award at the 30th ASPDAC conference, one of the four internationally recognized flagship conferences in the field of EDA, achieving the first time for Tsinghua University to win Best Paper Award in the four flagship EDA conferences solely based on independent accomplishments. During his Ph.D., he achieved a degree course GPA of 4.00/4.00 with a ranking of 1 out of 138, where 40% of his courses received an 'A+' grade. Chen Baiyu currently serves as the Head of the Liaison Department for the Global Competence and International Organization Development Association at Tsinghua University. He is also the Leader of the Development Service Team at the Information Service Center of the Graduate Student Union, managing all front-end and back-end development, operations, and security work for Shuimuhui, which has over 70,000 users. He previously held the position of Head of the Academic Department of the Computer Science Graduate Student Union. He has received two National Scholarships, the 2024 Tsinghua University Tan Haoqiang Computer Education Fund Outstanding Student Award (the only graduate student to receive this), and recognition as an Outstanding Student Cadre in the Computer Science Graduate Student Union. In CISS Youth, he will focus on technology strategy, especially the semiconductor strategy and AI strategy.
