On April 28, 2026, the China Forum of the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) at Tsinghua University hosted its 10th "China Forum Face-to-Face Dialogue." Themed "The U.S.-Israel-Iran Conflict: Impact on the World and Pathways to Breakthrough," the event gathered experts to discuss conflict trajectories, root causes, and China's constructive role in the region.

Experts noted that U.S.-led military actions against Iran have destabilized global security and strained U.S. alliances across Europe, East Asia, and the Gulf. In contrast, China remains committed to peaceful resolutions and regional stability, consistently playing a constructive role in mediating Middle Eastern conflicts.

Key speakers included: Duan Jiuzhou, Assistant Research Fellow, Institute for International and Regional Studies, Tsinghua University; Gong Jiong, China Forum Expert and Professor at the University of International Business and Economics; Jesse Marks, Doctoral Researcher at the Centre for Arab and Islamic Studies, Australian National University.
The session was moderated by Wen Jing, CISS Postdoctoral Fellow and Media Director of the China Forum.
Media representatives in attendance included Bloomberg, O Globo, TASS, Mainichi Shimbun, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Asahi Shimbun, Nikkei, NHK, Yomiuri Shimbun, China-US Focus, Lianhe Zaobao, South China Morning Post, China Daily, CGTN, and China.org.cn.
