The seminar focused on the development of generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology and its future application in civil, military and security fields. According to the participating experts, large models will inevitably emerge in AI development. As AI becomes more autonomous, uncertainties and insecurities brought by new technologies are also increasing. Since technological development is closely related to national security, both the government and the market should make coordinated efforts to explore cooperation in areas including computing power resource coordination and AI eco-construction, and proactively guide the sound development of generative AI technology.

The seminar was moderated by Professor Zhu Qichao, Fellow and Deputy Director of the Center for National Defense Technology and Strategic Studies of National University of Defense Technology. Members of the CISS AI and International Security Project team attended the seminar and exchanged ideas with the distinguished guests.
