Tianfu WANG (王天夫), Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Chicago, Professor of Sociology, and the Dean of School of Social Sciences at Tsinghua University. His research focuses on urban sociology, sociology of the family and studies of digital society. In recent years, he has been elected to memberships of various academic committees. During his career, Professor Wang has published journal articles on Social Sciences in China, Sociological Studies, Chinese Journal of Sociology, and Journal of Social Development, etc., published monographs including A Guide to STATA, Urban Space in Transition, Doctors in China: Group Profile and Working Status and Programmers in China: The Work, Life, and Values, etc., and has won research awards and selected in talent-supporting projects from the Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipal Government.
