Yu Hongjun
China Forum expert Former Ambassador to Uzbekistan Vice President, Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD)

Yu Hongjun, born in Nong'an County of Jilin Province. He studied at Northeast Normal University for BA and MA and Renmin University of China for Doctor of Laws. He worked as a senior visiting scholar in Russia's Dun Rostov University in the 1990s. He works as an adjunct professor of Renmin University of China, Jilin University, East China Normal University, Ji'nan University, Guangxi University and China University of Petroleum Beijing. He is also a doctoral tutor of Renmin University of China and China University of Petroleum Beijing. 

Yu Hongjun is an expert on international issues who has long been the main focus of the international communist movement and world socialism. At present, he mainly focuses on the study of modern international relations, politics of world political parties and diplomacy of contemporary China. 

Yu Hongjun is also a former professional diplomat. He used to be Vice Minister of International Department of the CPC Central Committee and President of China Center for Contemporary World Studies. He served as First Secretary of the Chinese embassy in Kazakhstan, Chinese Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Uzbekistan. He is Vice President of Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD). He is also appointed as an advisor to the International Financial Forum and National Center for Strategic Studies of China National School of Administration.
